SHORT ON TIME, BUT WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE ISLAND PROPERLY? THIS THREE-DAY PLAN TAKES YOU FROM TURQUOISE BEACHES TO CLIFF-TOP SUNSETS.
From relaxed mornings by the sea to scenic drives and sunset views, this itinerary helps you experience Zakynthos at a natural pace — with Zante Soleil Villas as your base between each day’s highlights.
Day 1 – Southern Shores & Island Capital
Morning | Gerakas Beach (08:30–11:30)
Start gently on one of the island’s calmest beaches. Loggerhead turtles nest here, so sun-loungers are respectfully pushed back and the atmosphere remains hushed. Meanwhile, you can wade through warm, ankle-deep shallows, then rest on dry flats or continue walking along the amber dunes.
Lunch | Vasilikos Village (12:00–13:30)
Afterward, take a short five-minute drive inland. Heirloom tomatoes catch golden light beneath wide olive trees. For lunch, order a plate of skordostoubi with a carafe of easy red. Then, return ‘home’ as the midday heat reaches its peak.
Siesta & Swim | Back at the Villas (14:00–16:00)
Return ‘home’ while midday heat peaks. Float in the pool, or alternatively claim a shaded hammock or a sunlounger with a paperback from the shared mini-library.
Evening | Zakynthos Town Stroll & Dinner (17:30–22:00)
In the evening, park near Solomos Square and wander the arcaded streets glowing gold at sunset. Next, browse ceramics on Roma Street. Before dinner, drop into Agios Dionysios Church for ten minutes of quiet reflection. Finally, settle at a waterfront ouzeri.
Day 2 – Boats, Blues & Bottles of Wine
Early Start | Shipwreck Beach & Blue Caves (07:30–13:00)
Skippers depart Port Vromi before tour crowds. As cliffs catch first light, you’ll slip into Navagio’s neon water for a snorkel beside the legendary rusted hull, then motor north to the Blue Caves, steering straight through sapphire arches. Bring a waterproof camera—the colour is unreal.
Mid-Afternoon | Vineyard Hopping (15:00–18:30)
Shower off the salt and join a small-group tasting. Family estates in the hinterland pour Robola and deep-ruby Avgoustiatis among vine-covered pergolas. The grand finale: a hill-top terrace overlooking the sea, where the sun melts behind Kefalonia while you clink glasses of sweet Mavrodaphne.
Dinner In | Chef at the Villa (20:00-late)
Your private chef arrives just before you do. Expect mezze platters on the patio, a main of lemon-oregano lamb, and a decadent galaktoboureko (custard pie) you’ll dream about on the flight home. Ask nicely and the chef will leave tomorrow’s breakfast pastries covered and ready.
Day 3 – Mountain Air & Unplugged Afternoons
Brunch | Loucha or Gyri (10:00–12:00)
Wind uphill through pine forest to villages lost in time. There, café tables spill onto cobbled lanes where grandmothers plait garlic strings. Enjoy Greek coffee sweetened “me glykó” and pair it with warm tiganites (honey fritters).
Culture Stop | Olive Press or Artisan Workshop (12:15–14:00)
A short drive away, a 19th-century stone mill still cold-presses the island’s liquid gold. Taste peppery new-season oil drizzled over crusty bread. Alternatively, visit a ceramic workshop and take home a souvenir you can actually use
Pure Relaxation | Pool & Massage (15:00–18:00)
Back at Zante Soleil Villas a therapist sets up beside the pool or on your shaded terrace. Choose lavender-oil relaxation or deep-tissue for post-hike legs. Afterwards, sink into the water with a chilled local rosé within arm’s reach—no schedules, just cicadas and the faint scent of jasmine.
Farewell Evening (Optional Mini-Adventure)
If you’re still up for more, wind down scenic trails to Keri Lighthouse. Here, toast tsipouro to the sunset and enjoy one last panoramic view before returning. Otherwise, stay put: queue your favourite playlist on the Bluetooth speaker, grill seafood on the stone barbecue, and watch constellations appear one by one.
